Tree Part II: Woke up this morning to a beautiful tree. The girls were anxious to start decorating, but to their disappointment, much preparation has to be done. Little did I know that our drama would unfold and not be competed until 4 hours later!!

After cleaning the now dry tree out of all the excess needles, the lights needed to be strung. After trying to complete this task while taking 3 social phone calls, I was rewarded with a crook in my neck and 3 strands of lights that decided not to cooperate after on the tree. A little sluething and restringing and we are now ready for decorating. The girls had a ball and love all the ornaments. With only 1 ornament casualty we are now only 9 ornaments away from completing the tree when all of the lights blow on the tree. I am now 3 1/2 hours into this battle with the lights and can't decide if I am going to rip all the ornaments off and chuck the tree over the deck or just sit down and have a good cry. I did the 2nd... and finally got a hold of Steve who walked me through changing out spark plugs and "Voila"... we are all now happy and have our tree finally done.

We decided to get some fresh air and run some errands around town for a little break, and with each new stop, we felt the air temperature rapidly dropping. Safely home with a car full of gas, DVD's, and some dinner... we are set to settle in for our winter movie when much to our suprise we come upstairs to find a winter wonderland

But it is simply way too cold out here to play.
Good night! And Mom is going to bed too. I'm exhausted.
